The Benefit of Focusing on One Goal
Everything falls into place once you reach that goal
Repetition amplifies
With repetition, we are able to create a pattern that will get us closer to the one goal.
Imagine you have created a long list of 30 things you want to do related to fitness:
- build a grocery shopping list to specifically build muscle
- go grocery shopping for the week
- create a workout plan for a month
- make a list on why this fitness goal is important to you and keep it somewhere you will often see it
- clothes shopping for workouts, if needed
- run outside once a week
- center one workout to do with a friend each week
- post a story after completing each workout for accountability
- follow online influencers who inspire you
- read an affirmation every morning and night related to your fitness goal & self-image
- create a fasting schedule
- track your meals throughout the day
- drink 2 full gallons of water every day
- remove alcohol
- plan your cheat meals
- enjoy the process of eating. Eat slower
- limit liquid calories (juices, coffee, soft drinks)
- use smaller plates, smaller portions
- journal your daily accomplishments and stressors. learn how to manage stress
- sleep as much as needed
- take your vitamins, probiotics, and supplements
- think in the long term, not short term to keep the muscle
- get moving — walk more, add cardio
- work with a nutritionist or fitness trainer if you’d like
- find active hobbies
- set weekly and daily goals that motivate, not deplete you
- push yourself in each workout
- use the stairs instead of the elevator
- track your fitness with a fitness tracking watch
- stand and walk whenever possible and more often
The more we find things we can do related to our goal, the more inspired we will feel and motivated to do something small that can get us moving.
Introspection
Remaining stagnant when there are many things you can do to level up to the next step in your goal can push you to get out of that rut.
Think of the things you enjoy doing and what can get the ball rolling again. Only you know yourself well enough to know what needs to be changed and what needs to removed to move forward towards your goal.
There is this idea of working from your goal, instead of working towards your goal. Working from your goal means taking small actionable steps on a daily basis that come from what you want to accomplish.
What would it look like if you were already the person you wanted to be at the best fitness level possible?
What would you do on a daily basis?
Accomplishing the one goal
Getting to the end of the one goal is going to surprise you.
It can happen sooner ot later than you think but with time and repetition, you will be able to get there. Accomplishing this goal can allow you to focus on other parts of your life with more ease since you have gained the mindset and tools to put the same energy into a different goal.
Focusing on one goal can create a long lasting effect on your entire life and the other things you want to accomplish.
It sounds easier said than done but get out of your comfort zone to get out of your current situation. The steps moving forward will connect themselves and guide you forward as you change your thinking and frequency today.
